What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
Do not want tigers. Our dreams will be dashed in the massive Comerica Park outfield.
dont get ahead of yourself and dont jinx it!
We didn't want Rays either because Boston seemed like such a pushover. Detroit is scary but we would have home field advantage playing them instead of starting in New York.
Austin Jackson has great range but Brennan Boesh, Magglio Ordonez and Delmon Young are all below average fielders. Comerica is number 10 this year far as park factors and runs per game go (The Trop is #29).
I actually like our outfield matchups better. All that said, I think I'd still rather beat the Yankees again.
Rangers ain't afraid of shit. They'll play anyone, anywhere, anytime and guarantee that they'll beat them in any series.
If you're too afraid to watch Rangers play a great team, then get your ass off the bandwagon.
I don't think anyone said anything about being afraid of the Tigers, or afraid to watch the Rangers play a great team. Fact is, the Tigers seem to have the Rangers number for whatever reason, regardless of which team is perceived to be better.
Little early to be setting the ALCS matchup when neither series is over.
Agreed. Can we close this topic until/if we win the DS?
Shades of Steve Bartman with this post. Take a giant step away from the railing and let the games play out, please.
Yes, please shut this one down - need to win one of the next 2 games before we have a thread like this...
Chickens? Hatch? Counting?
Shelve it, back burner it, or pause it. The cart does not before the horse. Why not figure out WS opponent too while your being Nostradamus?
I apologize. That was definitely presumptuous, not sure why I jumped the gun like that.
Can we prognosticate now?
Okay, NOW it's time.
I'll take Detroit. They'll have wide eyes and tight assholes. Yankees will feel like they've been there before, as will the Rangers.
LOL @ Barrett -
Yes, we can discuss it now.
Yanks are probably an easier matchup if their bats are gonna stay cold like they are now. Yanks starting staff is thin, their bullpen kinda sucks and the Rangers have never seemed to have much trouble with CC.
Do we put any stock in home-field though?
Didn't last year.
Prognosticate away my friends! Awesome! Simply awesome. I think I need new carpet from the pacing.
I want NYY, it would be great to have a rematch and Texas beating NYY would be so sweet just like it was last year...
I'd say I am indifferent, but I'd be being less than honest. While I am afraid of neither, I'd love to stick it to the entire Yankees organization and fan-base, especially that smarmy Papsmeira and pompous A-Fraud...Who, between the two, are 1 for 21 in the play-offs this post-season. Bahahahaha!
The only SP we have that beat the Tigers this year?
Rotation change if it's Detoilet,( the Jeruselum of Paris TX North America)?
Just an observation....this season, the Rangers hit 3 homeruns in Comerica Park (which is supposedly hitter unfriendly) and 2 homeruns in Yankee Stadium (which is supposedly hitter friendly).
We didn't play well against the Yankees this year. I expect us to do better if we should face them again.
And in the ALCS in the movie, who did they face?
Nevertheless, we'll find out who we play tomorrow, while we take an additional day off!
We have our "Wild Thing", our Cerrano, and our Wille Mays "White Boy" Hayes in Gentry. But the characters continuue.
Make a movie about the Indians or Money Ball? Go ahaead.
You want a trilogy? We are here!
And if you no support me now? I say...
Ricky what the hell are you talking about? LOL
It went back to someone's reference to "Major League" the movie.
