What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
Assume this fatigue is not "fatigue" and Mike Maddux thinks Harrison, Ogando or Lewis needs a DL stint for arm fatigue or dead arm or something like that. Who do you want to take their place? Pick one or two: Feldman, Tomko, Hamburger, Perez, Robbie Ross (Internal) or Chen, Vargas, Capuano, Lilly, Gorzalanny, Wang (all who have cleared waivers and can be claimed by any team).
Feldman first. Then maybe Eric Hurley, who you failed to list.
I'd have to give Feldman the 1st shot in this hypothetical. Hurley was supposed to start the other day in AAA, but was replaced at the last minute. Not sure what the issue is yet. I asked Scott via e-mail. Will advise. I'd like to see Hamburger. He has been pretty impressive during his stretch-out.
Yeah, Hurley was 8-1 the last I noticed. WTF Tomko/Hamburger!
"NoOne".Rotation is fine as it is. (8-28-2011)OK let me rephraise that....it's the best we got, and don't forget to count your blessings that we have the same one all year !!!!!!Tomko???? ....please....
Interesting stuff from Newberg, for those who haven't seen it: "The Rangers, according to multiple local reports, will skip Matt Harrison in the rotation on Tuesday, moving him to the bullpen temporarily in an effort to control his inning count. Scott Feldman will take Harrison’s turn on Tuesday against Tampa Bay, and Harrison will reclaim his rotation spot a week from tomorrow in Boston.
Furthermore, according to the same local reports, C.J. Wilson will be the only starter to pitch every fifth day over the final five weeks. Each of the other four starters will be given extra rest at some point – though one local report suggests Derek Holland may be exempt.
Finally, Adrian Beltre and Andres Blanco are slated to go out on rehab assignments with AAA Round Rock, starting Monday."
People are finally getting a taste of a filthy Hamburger. Great kid, with outstanding attitude
