What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
As I looked in the standings this am, I noticed that the Rangers only trail the Yankees in the loss column by 6 games (Angels trail by 7), I found my caffeine-starved mind wondering if there was even a possibility of both AL West teams making the postseason at the expense of the Evil Empire?
Could the combination of the Yankees hodge-podge rotation, inability to beat the Red Sox, and sustained hot play by both Rangers and Angels throw the baseball world off kilter? Ahhh...just thinking about it makes me smile.
Of course that smile fades when I look at my 401k...
Per BP, the Rangers' and Angels' combined chances of winning a wild-card spot are 0.5 percent.
I wouldn't count on it.
No, no they cannot.
Didn't you guys hear Kevin Garnett? "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE"
But no, the wild card is not coming from the West.
Nope. I thought the same thing after the Yanks lost a few in Boston...then I checked the standings and that thought dissipated quickly. Much like your 401k. (My condolences on the 401k)
Only if CC Sabathia stops playing. Then there MIGHT be a chance.
Well, let's not forget that A-Fraud is about to come back - that's got be good for a couple of losses above replacement!
Ah - well - one can at least hope - and yes thanks Meat227 - i am just hoping I can afford a cardboard box to keep the rain off when I retire at age 96
It's possible, but I wouldn't put money on it. I think it's more likely that the Astros will win 60 games than the Yankees get bumped out.
