Forum > 6 man rotation
I would be okay with doing this, if we get a bigger division lead. I dont know who you would trust starting every 6th day in a tight division race.

Personally Hurley I just want him to succeed so bad

I can't imagine why the Rangers would do that, when the bullpen seems to be the bigger issue.

This strikes me as begging for problems.
Also isn't a 6 man rotation akin to having 2 quarterbacks?

I'm down for it. As long as RW can keep CJ and Colby on regular rest. All of the other guys are young and reaching/exceeding previous IP season highs. Rest would do them some good. Look at how well Ogando pitched after the ASB. And I would use Tommy for that 6th starter - especially if we acquired a bullpen piece.

I've never been a fan of any rotation that includes a guy named "6th starter"...

Would we then have to decide who in the farm grades out as a 6th spot guy?

I say we get Dave Bush back.

I think we seriously need for the TR's to make a trade because the discussion topics lately seem to suggest we are all HUNGRY for something to happen!
Why hasn't there been a thread discussion on Napoli's recent haircut yet?

I'd rather use a sixth starter for the purpose of skipping over Ogando a couple of times the rest of the way, instead of slapping him onto the back end of the rotation.

Should the Rangers go with a sixman rotation to help keep ogando and Harrison fresh? Maybe also let C.J. Pitch on a regular 4 days rest
(Example). CJ, Colby, Derek, ogando, Harrison, CJ, 6th starter, Colby, Dutch, ogando, CJ and so on
