Why is M Perez in the bullpen?

O yeah, he pitched 1 inning out of the bullpen.
Maybe they are trying to get him ready!?!?
He is pitching real well this year, I think it's just a matter of time before he will be called up to the big leages..... but as a reliever ??? ...hard to believe...

dont like the idea because it stunts a pitchers growth because they dont have to use all there pitches if they pitch one inning they relay in the fastball and dont refine there offspeed stuff you saw it with neftali and holland and sheppers when they started him in AA as a releiver and and then moved him to a starter and he just wasent used to it so he failed and i dont want to see that happen to perez hey but maybe ill eat my words?

His relief appearance was most likely to prepare him for the futures game coming up this weekend. I can't imagine this is anything more than a one time thing. No way Perez is getting moved to the pen...

He last started on the 3rd and, considering there was an off day this week, his next scheduled start would have been tomorrow. But with the Futures Game on Sunday, he definitely wouldn't be doing that start. The inning yesterday was just to get him some work in the meantime.
