Ryan Franklin? Well, the say he isn't hurt, thus why they didn't DL him. He was good not too terribly long ago, thus something must be wrong. I'd take a look at him in a work-out, but would make no knee-jerk signing. We need good now, not a repair project.

To me it depends on whom they can get during the trade season. If they can't get anyone better than what they already have, then Franklin might be worth a gamble.

Dontrelle Willis looks to have his head back on straight. The 29-year-old has a 2.63 ERA, 8.0 K/9, 2.4 BB/9, and 0.6 HR/9 in 13 starts for the Reds' Triple-A affiliate this year. I'd take a closer look.

I've always loved Dontrelle, and when he fell, I just kept watching, waiting, and hoping he'd make a comeback. never did. i wanna hope he's back... but i just cant trust that he'll ever get it together. seriously one of the worst stories in baseball how far he fell

The Reds don't have a spot for him. He will be moved somewhere with those numbers. 13 starts is a good measuring stick. He is 5-2 with 75.1 IP, thus an average of almost 6 innings per start? 2.63 ERA. 67 SO. I'd take a look at least.
