The only thing worse than the way the rangers have been playing lately is the thought of cher in that thong suit. Ugh.

So we flash back in time to the offseason. What would YOU have done differently from the beginning to help the rangers season out?

You have full license its just your opinion. youre not nolan youre not wash... youre you. Thinking back a LOT went down this summer, and with hinsight being 20/20... well here were are, sooo....

Would you have signed Cliff Lee for the 7th year? would you have signed a different Catcher than YT? maybe Victor Martinez, Buck? Would you have made the Beltre signing? Would you have traded MY at his request? Would you have signed Brandon Webb? Would you have waffled Feliz back and forth from starter and closer. Would you have committed to Borbon at CF, or would you have considered Hambone; or would you have signed or promoted someone from AAA to play CF. What about the lineup changes? that were made. would you have moved Kinlser to LO, or stuck w the lineup that got us to the WS. would you have signed Thad Bosely as hitting coach or gone with someone else. Would you have made the Arthur Rhodes signing? Is there any other Free Agent that you wouldve signed or any trade you wouldve made.

Basically you get the point. it was a crazy crazy offseason and here we are now.

So tell me what you wouldve done differently. theres not right or wrong answer its your opinion. As with most of my forum posts its just nice to throw some stuff out there and let ppl run with it. its kinda fun to sit back and for everyone to see what each individual wouldve done different. cuz nobody's going to have the same answer.... well except for one. Nobody woulda signed arthur rhodes knowing what they know now.

The only blatantly obvious error that was made was not to have obtained either an upper echelon SP, OR 8th inning set up guy. If they were serious about transitioning Feliz and/or Ogando to starters, then trading Francisco and not picking up bullpen help other than Rhodes and Lowe seems to have been a serious miscalculation.

I realize that Salty was traded during the season (and that the organization apparently had issues with him or vice versa), but hindsight being 20/20, the trades of he AND Treanor look pretty questionable right now. Just from an organizational depth at Catcher standpoint, I definitely wouldn't have traded, much less given away, Treanor.
