Forum > Stay Classy Texas Rangers

This is an absolutely touching tribute by the Texas Rangers and shows why we should all fee safe and secure that this organization is going to be run properly with JD, Nolan, and Wash in the mix:

With their 33rd round pick the Rangers picked paralyzed teamate to our second pick Zach Cone, Johnathan Taylor. He may never walk again, he may never play ball again, but atleast now, thanks to the Rangers, he can forever tell his children and grandchildren that he was drafted in 2011 to play major league baseball.

Also thought this was a classy move on the part of the organization. It also lets Cone know how much they want him to play for the Rangers. Good feelings all around.

Yeah this team is so classy they have a coke head for a manager, their superstar is drug addict and the team leader whines like a baby when things don't go his way.

Just keeping it real.

You should change your name to "IncompetentBoob" considering you just showed your tail feather with that comment

Closeboob - you proved the point...this organization is classy enough to give those 'cokehead drug addicts' a 2nd chance and the support they need. Cinci apparently didn't want to give the drug addict the support and help he needed so we reap the benefits.

I have no counter to your 3rd point however.

This is one of the reasons I am and always have been a Rangers fan. I can say though that Hicks probably wouldn't have let this happen. Way to go Rangers!!!

This things blown up and gone national. Good for the rangers, but i hate when stuff like that happens cuz it kinda takes away from the meaning of it allittle bit. The Rangers didnt do it for the publicity. if they did, they would used their last draft pick on him not picked him in the middle of their draft.

When i first started reading this story it seriously made me so beyond proud to be a Texan and a fan of the Rangers. Stuff like this doesnt happen in NY or other places. only in Texas folks. They coulda used that pick on a more "valuable" pick however they said they planned of drafting him around that area prior the accident and they still felt like he deserved that recognition. There is just no better reason than something like this to be a fan of the rangers, nolan, JD, and wash (if wash had any part of it). As much as we complain about this team sometimes, its nice to have something like this take you back and put the things that really matter about an organization into perspective.
