I haven't looked to see if the numbers back this up, but it seems like Oliver always struggles when he has to pitch two days back to back or more than one inning. Most times he comes in for just one inning, and he is rested, it seems like he does fine. Everytime he comes in for the second day in row though, you can just about guarantee he will give up a run.

Maybe because DO do what he do

Oliver is a 3.45 xFIP on the year.
Very good... just very unlucky in a small sample size. He'll be fine.

Just heard Wash on the Pregame talking about the Dutch Oven not putting out hitters when he gets them to 2 strikes. He said "that's what good pitchers do" . Right so why does he keep putting DO out, on Back to Back days even. Daren Oliver and Arthur Rhodes have been failures up to this point in the season. Don't give me the it's early and its ok spin. Games count just as much in May as they do in October the difference being taking care of business in May can mean breathing room in Sept - October. Were there not divisions decided by less than 10 games last year,? Just throwing away games against divisional opponents drives me crazy.
