Forum > Milton Bradley

We all know he just got released by the Mariners recently and with the Rangers offense strugling any chance Milton can come in and provide some pop for the Rangers he did hit .321 .436 .563 .999 for the Rangers. Maybe he just loves playing in Arlington, playing for Ron Washington. At least while Cruz and Hamilton are down.

Wishful thinking to think that he will be any better than Gentry can be, add in the fact that his attitude is absolutely awful, there is absolutely no reason to risk the clubhouse chemistry no matter how beat up the team is. He may have loved Wash and playing in Texas (whether or not he liked it here and therefore he had great success, or if he said he liked playing here because he had a great season is really not important in my eyes) he even had attitude problems here (like when he wanted to kill the KC broadcasters). Just not worth it.

I think it would have to take something very tragic to bring him in (i.e. season ending injury to hamilton or Cruz). However i think reputation alone, he probably won't be picked up by anyone (however I think i said the same thing about TO last year... so maybe ppl are willing to look past reputation in sports...)

So at the very least if something really really horrible happened and he was needed, he could be available. Cuz Martin is correct, during his brief tenure here he did have some decent numbers. Granted batting behind hamilton never hurts. And i think he did like playing for and respected Wash. But again, it would have to be an absolute last case scenario. Granted you never know what JD has up his sleeve... especially if Wash has expressed a willingness to work with him. For example as well as MY has been playing if they found a suitor for him, that could bring us some BP help, and they couldn't fit anyone they have already in at DH... there might be a need for him then. However i find it highly unlikely. I dont think he's a "Nolan" guy....

Don't even think about it.

I feel so bad for Bradley. It's clear to me that he isn't a guy who thinks he's a bad ass and just acts crazy because of it. The guy has serious issues. I've always wanted to see him succeed, but I don't know if he'll even be picked up by anyone at this point. I loved watching him hit this year though. He looked like he was starting to enjoy it again. Best wishes to the man, but keep him out of Texas.

We know JD... always looking for that cheap spin. Bradley's a different twist.
I don't think he's got a lion's heart, but a very black one, all for himself. Team guy?
Champions Blood? He's like a ball of rubber bands, tight wound, ready to snap.
What a mess it could create.

SEA released him for a reason. Who do you drop from the 40man to make room for a guy who has been an offensive disappointment since leaving TEX and is a defensive liabiltiy.

Already have Napoli filling the one tool player role on the roster.

you really do gotta feel bad for the guy. i hate to see when a player has all the talent in the world, but lets his ego, or attitude, or selfishness in the way. I mean theres a long long line of players like that it really sucks. cuz there was a time where he was one of those players to watch out for.

i blame his parents. you grow up your entire life with the name Milton Bradley.... youre gonna be f***ed up.
