Yeah, I remember when there was a rumor that we were looking into him in ST. I thought to myself "he would be worth a flier". I may or may not have posted on here that I would like to sign him, but I definitely thought it. I really don't think he will last the whole season throwing 96, but he has sick movement on that 2 seamer, so that should help him get through most of the season.

Yea the BP really blew it tonight. Cost TEX another game.

@WmW
dont get me wrong, i'm not trying to start any $h!t or anything... but can you please explain to me what you thin is wrong with this team. i've looked over several of your posts and you pretty much negate anything anyone says. If they make a comment about our bullpen struggling you have a smart@$$ comment to attempt to say thats not the issue. if someone says the batters/lineup/batting coach is the problem, again, you have a smart@$$ comment to negate thats the issue.
so honestly, do you feel like nothing is wrong with this team besides injuries, and youre just waiting it out? or in your opinion what is it? cuz from a compilation of your posts its almost impossible to determine cuz its kinda all over the place. i'm just curious. Again, seriously not trying to start anything, i just really am curious as to your solution without just seeing you say "its not (yada yada)"
but yes you are correct this time in that it wasnt the BP fault. I just also notice you tend to negate anyone that blames hitting/coaching etc. thats why i'm so curious. sorry to e stalk you lol.

Dude ... First of all this is a discussion board ... and like life different people will have different perspectives.
I agree the BP is having a rough time ... but that's not the first problem. The first problem is that the team is not scoring runs. First you have to score runs and establish a lead ... then the BP gets to defend it after the SP goes out. Other than two losses in the past 25 games now the TEX BP has not given up more than 2 runs ... and in those 2 games DO gave up 3 and Strop gave up 3.
As was born out again tonight ... TEX batters are not getting hits or scoring runs. Given Colby's performance tonight ... and the fact that he went 8 innings and the BP didn't even make an appearance ... who do you think was responsible for the loss? Tell me.
I've never said that the only problem is injuries ... TEX doesn't get do overs because Hamilton, Feliz, Cruz or whoever has an injury. But when you don't win games you drop down the standings ... and at the end of the year you don't get to play in the post season if you aren't in first place pretty much. Every win in April and May counts the same as the wins in October ... and while the BP is struggling to hold onto one run games night after night ... its primarily the fault of the offense (primarily Kinsler, Beltre, Cruz, and Napoli "the lefty killer" too) that TEX is not winning.
I rag at those who don't go back and look at each individual game summary or box score to figure that out and just jump on the BP Sucks bandwagon.
Only pitcher I rag on is Lowe ... who may have it together now and we shall see but since he was activated in Sep he's shown me squat as to why he's on the 25man.
I've not ragged on Bosley at all. So best go back and check to see who did ... wasn't me. I actually think he's more attuned to the younger guys needs than Hurdle was ... and he was a huge upgrade over Rudy.
At the end of the day I'm going to post my position on things and I'll back that up with the game facts and statistics. When others just post an HSO ... then I'll just post an HSO back.
LIke you we wasted two nights this week till very late watching great pitching ... and TEX fans should expect better when facing the ALW's last place team. That ticks me off and it ought to really tick off those guys are getting paid millions of dollars to look like stooges too.
Sorry you don't like what I write. Get used to it.

... and my post above ranting at the BP was tongue in cheek of course because they didn't get within 300' of the mound tonight if that's the post you were upset over. Pffffmph.

I'm starting to wonder if Dcaggie06 and Joe are the same person. They have the same ethos.
Riddle Me This
i dont have an issue with what you write i just noticed it seems contradictory of yourself at times. dont worry about it i was mainly just bitchy over the loss last night. damn rangers effecting my mood!
and no, i'm definately not joe. i'm not that big a douche.
sorry to take my rage out on you. not your fault the rangers cant kep it together.
Dcaggie06
DCaggie is me. Don't hate yourself so much man!
Joe
Would you look at that all the Rangers needed was to headline their Rotation with Brandon F&%King Mcarthy and Bortolo Cy yOung Colon and there would be no problems in ranger land
Martin

Cant belive im saying this but the Rangers should have gone after Bartolo Colon (via MLBTR) Not only does Colon have a 3.00 ERA in 33 innings, he has the peripheral stats to back it up: 9.0 K/9, 1.6 BB/9, 48% ground ball rate, 3.16 FIP, 2.65 xFIP.
Or Even Freddy Garcia! The 35-year-old has a 2.88 ERA in 25 innings with 8.3 K/9 and 4.0 BB/9.
With one of those guys in the 4th/5th slot in the rotation Ogando could be in the 8th or Closing now that Feliz is hurt.
The Rangers do have a badass bullpen, probably the best in baseball they are just ravaged by injuries and guys are being put in positions they shouldnt be in (like Oliver closing) When Feliz, and Hunter come back Ogando might have to move back to the bullpen unfortunatley because the bullpen is so thin.
