speaking of willis though. talk about a downfall. i think the only pitcher to fall from grace quicker is Joba. sucks... cuz apparently he has this social anxiety issue. but so did Greinks.... he got over it and won a freakin cy young. Get it together Dontrelle youre still young!

Davis has no trade value. And If salary is a concern how could they have possibly even thought about affording Cliff Lee. The team has alot of pitchers with potential upside but zero top of the rotation starters. They need to package alot of those maybe guys and go and get a solid #1 starter. And maybe some young infielders to develop in the minors.

Why I think this works.

1st off i think matusz still has potential. And i think Baltimore is pretty much giving up on him....cuz he hasnt been that good or is oft injured. is profar and holland too much for him, i dunno. i like his upside. if it all clicks one day, we could have a real ace. Uehara helps out the pen and we get rid of old balls rhodes. profar is Baltimores SS of the future

2nd part. i'm sure i'll get crucified for the MY for Zobrist trade. cuz Zobrist is currently a crappier version of MY. however Zobrist can actually play the field, in multiple positions, and if he's not a one year wonder... can deliver more pop than MY ever has. TB receives a better catcher/bigger bat in napoli, and they currently have kyle farnsworth closing. thats a terrifying though. Scheppers turns into TBs future closer. Shields had a down year last year, but i think he still has some good stuff and can be effective especially without costing as much.

With the loss of Napoli we need an additional catcher and lets face it, TT isnt ready. I default to Bengie, not because i'm a huge fan of his, but i think he has one year left, and he's an excellent game caller. And as far as young pitchers go, there is nobody better at helping and teaching how to manage a game (ask the freak). if you dont want bengie, i'd be down with max ramirez, i always liked him. i hear he's playing in like a dominican league or something...

Again several risks taken, but i think this could be done.
