Again, I know this is BBTIA.com, but its pretty much a bretheran of sports fanatics and its pretty much open forum; and as many of us are not soley rangers fans but local sports fans in general I figured this would be valid/FUN!

Plus my last forum went over so well.... I wanted to name this post "Desroy Dcaggie06 via internet about Mavs vs. Lakers" howver i respect Joey's request for small posting names.

But lets get to it. Mavs showed some toughness and grit and pulled off the "upset" (i use that term loosley based on the general medias opinion that we would punk out in the first round) and we are currently faced with the challenge of playing the dreaded Lakers and defending Champs.

So question is...... How do you think they'll fair? Can they pull this out? is this team giving you that 06 San Antone upset vibe?

I'm going out on a limb to say i think theyll do it. I think its going 7 games. I think we'll see all home team wins until the Mavs pull off an on the road upset in game 7.

So what do you think?

*On a side note, Charles Barkley who for the most part has an affinity for Mavs hating picked the Mavs to win in 6... shocked the hell out of me. He actually said theyll be playing either boston or chicago in the finals. guess we'll see... i'm just hoping he didnt jinx the whole thing and we get swept*

i know we've all been through the wringer of disappointment over the years when it comes to the Mavs, however i am utterly shocked that nobody could careless about this series.

or have i broken some unwritten rule i was unaware of with this website and all forums are supposed to be strictly rangers/baseball related.

I think the Lakers take this one in 7. The Mavs are going to fight their little hearts out, but in the end LA's size and physicality is going to be too much to overcome. And if Tyson is in foul trouble, watch out, every game has potential to turn into a massacre.

i'd place your bet on the latter after my cowboys draft forum debacle lol. youre definately right about how quickly this shifts all lakers if chandler gets in foul trouble. i however will consider any game a success if matt barnes gets laid out on his ass. they need to devise at least one play a game where he gets a hard pick from Cardnial ala patty mills

thats what i miss about the "old" mavs, late 90s early 00s, in the playoffs. We always had that one guy that never played except for when a hard foul was needed...

What's gonna suck, is i have a feeling we're gonna beat the lakers somehow, then end up getting our @$$es handed to us by Memphis. right now zach randolph and the grizz look unstoppable. makes me mad that lionel hollins has been available for a while, and we didnt pick him up as a coach.
