Forum > Sizemore the answer in CF

With the rotation in the state it's in, I don't see how CF is that high of a priority, if some kind of trade were to be made this early in the season.

Why on earth don't we just call up Endy Chavez and give him a try...he is tearing up AAA pitching and can play center, has good speed and major league experience.

Byrd, Pierre or Beltran (if healthy and Mets paying most of salaray) would be the short term answers. With Michael Bourn being the long term solution. I like his hustle, defense and s all around. I would'nt mind giving a top prospect for him. May be Profar, Davis, Borbon and a player to be named would do it.
Kemp is more of a long shot.

I believe the Rangers are going to wait it out and look for Leonys Martin to challenge
Borbon. Julio has had a good week, so far, against the Jays. The flashes keeps him
on the edge. You have to admire his determination. There are a lot of mediocre CF's
that become available... none better than Julio. Some have bats, some gloves, but none
that are balanced or young enough to stick here, other than a stop gap.
Martin or Borbon will be the CF'r in August.
