Forum > Neil Ramirez
You forgot to mention that he made his high A debut last week.
Dave H
Well, I kinda slipped in that he only made 1 start at Myrtle Beach
MonkeyEpoxy
I know. I was just indicating that there should be more emphasis on that being his first start at that level. That was the first time through the Myrtle Beach rotation and your wording left it open that he could have possibly started at Bakersfield in the past. It's no big deal; the performance is amazing either way.

You reckon they are gonna leave him there for a while? (How can they not?)
CloseBoob
Can we bring him up to replace Mark Lowe?
David
Today's start in Roundrock
5 IP | 2 H | 1 R | 0 ER | 3 BB | 9 K | 96 pitches, 61 strike
MonkeyEpoxy
Maybe optimistic, but maybe he could be the guy to replace Tobin if needed. He would be used in similar low stress situations out of the pen as Tobin so maybe it's worth a shot. Otherwise Lowe may be back sooner than expected
Ryan from Waco
I would be upset if we called him up just to stash him in a mop up role in the bullpen. He needs to be starting every fifth day
MonkeyEpoxy
Agree ... needs to start every 5th day wherever he is. Right now though he's the best SP at AAA and would be a real shocking "disruptive innovation" to see him take a spot in the TEX rotation. That would be really interesting. TEX got to change the dynamics.
Windingmywatch
I would find a way to have Neil Ramirez take Ogando's spot in the rotation and have Ogando becomes my closer for the next 2 weeks.
David

Dude made a spot start today in AAA while Hurley was out with some sickness and dazzled. He may have pitched his way to Frisco after only having made 1 start in Myrtle Beach
6.0 IP | 3 H | 0 R | 0 BB | 5 K | 75 pitches, 50 strikes | 4-5 GO-AO
Fastball was sitting 93-96
Threw a handful of changeups and got whiffs on them
Didn’t have his best curve per Jason Cole on twitter, but he was still dropped the majority of them in for strikes
