i think calling it "stupid" and "dumb" was more of throwing him under the bus. you can tell the truth about what happened by saying, "i was sent home and i tried to avoid the tag and got hurt."

"How else would I play?" Hamilton said. "You can get hurt by doing anything."

exactly, so don't blame it on a "stupid" play.

"I can understand that if I was pulling things like hamstrings or quads and it was not actual high-intensity things like hitting walls," Hamilton said. "I'm making plays that the game calls me to make and I'm getting injured that way. That proves to me that I can get hurt any time doing anything. I'm tired of talking about it, to be honest with you."

is that a shot at nelly? did kinsler miss some time w/ a quad or something like that? i like josh a whole hell of a lot, i've heard he's a very nice guy, etc...but these comments are not great.

Hard to read tea leaves from afar since I don't know all these ballplayers personally, but it sure seems as if Josh has lost that veneer of humility he had last year.

Reminiscent of two years ago, when Josh was fresh of his breakout 08 season and he went off the deep end in Arizona. He got caught, humbled again and then remembered how much he loves God and all.

I fully expect him to be caught doing lines off of a stripper's ass at the Spearmint Rhino, end up on DP again, and then open a new youth center to help him glorify the Lord.
