Forum > Michael Young for K-Rod?
If it ain't broken, don't fix it!

I'm all for moving Young, but I don't think getting K-Rod is what I would want. I'm not sure what his numbers look like, but he just doesn't have that dominant feel that he had when he was with the Halos. Not to mention his off the field issues...

I would do this because with what's on the bench plus, the fact we would most likely call up CD to hit some lefties and play 1st/3rd some. I think we wouldn't lose much, if anything, at the plate and get a guy who can be a 8th inning guy. Plus if he's the 8th inning guy for us his contract wont kick in and we save cash.(That's thinking they would take all of MY salary.)

Why would you bring in CD to face lefties? and if you bring in K-Rod and CD youd have to send down Strop or lose Bush or Tobin. I would rather see if strop can be the 8th inn guy then pay someone 17 Million to do it.

That guy can't pass a glass of water,
without seeing if his image is showing.

Who knows how legitimate these rumors are, but would you all trade Michael Young for Francisco Rodriguez? Both make way too much money, but if we're forced to overpay for someone wouldn't we rather it be in the bullpen where we have a bigger need that at DH? K-Rod would bolster the bullpen and give Napoli and Murphy more at bats? Who knows? If some of the starters started to falter you could even entertain Feliz to the rotation again. Any thoughts?
