Forum > 2011 ... Lost to DL?

In 2010, we went through the ringer with untimely injuries:
Kinsler, Cruz and Hamilton, plus our slotted #1 Feldman, etc~
Which player could we least lose, for half to a full season?

Hamilton. As much for the confidence he gives the rest of the team as for his production. You can see that the team just believes in themselves more with him in the lineup.

CJ or Colby would be tough to lose as well

Michael Young ......... No but really I think its either Beltre Ian or CJ because those are two guys you cant replace without loosing much. Like if Hamilton or Cruz goes down you can put Moreland in the COF and if u lose Borbon stick Hamilton in CF and Moreland in RF Cruz LF. You lose Moreland Torrialba put Napoli at C or first, Andrus with Blanco. If you lose Beltre or Ian you gota go with MY on Defense everyday and i dont want to go back i love Beltres D at third and Kins at second. And of course you cant lose the "Ace" at anytime.

Adrian Beltre ... because TEX will revert to putting Young back at 3rd ... and while TEX might activate Chris Davis in response to losing Beltre to the DL it upsets the RH v LH balance and makes the team less effective against LHP.

Hambone's out for 6 weeks. We're not a ONE player Club nor a ONE dimensional team.
Bringing up C. Davis is OK, but personally,I don't want it to cut into Moreland or Murphy's AB's.

Look, we all know that baseball is a long season. Injuries are inevitable. Lucky for the Rangers they have the deepest bench in the majors, even extending down to Round Rock. We have to take the bad with the good. It will suck, but my guess is that others will step up and show what they are capable of. I think we have to move Nelly to hitting third now. Any thoughts?

True, I was the guy serving Hot Dogs to Penny @ the mound,
on the infamous Anderson Play. If you pan the field and look close,
Penny back towards Home Plate; I'm the guy in shadowy dark cloak
holding sickle... serving hot dogs.

That was you?! So you're the guy who let the ghost of Round Rock out of his ball and chains?!

No, his bat weighs him down enough, in AAA limbo.
Maybe he'll borrow Josh's vampire bat while up?

I don't want to hear anything about CD's jersey being broken either.
CD thinks AAA limbo is bad? Try CLE, KC, TB, NTM or...
No, not even I, could ever send him to Houston.

CD has six weeks to break a MLB sweat

Youngs trade whispers have quieted, even though there are fans not on gawds side.
Seems Murphy has picked up the 'shingle' of the LHH Mike Young, for being a nice guy.
Some fans are aching for a 'Trade Hamilton' now. C. Davis will take the usual abuse,
even down to owning a Volvo. The Ping Pong opinions are still in full heated volley.

Then there's Borbon ...
again, getting the usual pass, from the same fans that dictate the above abuse.
So goes the World of Ranger Armchair GM.

Borbon MUST be the ONE player we can't lose to the DL... consistant thinking surely?
I'll pass on that one.
Where's Leonys Martin?
