Forum > Why is this site turning a blind eye to Borbon?
The other day, a well needed & heated discussion on Julio Borbon.
My intent was to bring that out & I was happy with the results. Data
is useful, but it does not prove point of what is on hand.
I've been in ST pretty much the whole time. I've also followed Julio
from day one of the 2007 draft. He was and is my focal attention
player. If I did not think he had a huge upside of 'potential' he would
be on my sideline, as say Mr. Webb.
This 2011 Ranger team could be a 'defensive machine'. CF, to me
is a prime position to tie ends and draw the string on the bag. Slam shut
the door or any adjective one can use to denote the 'defensive priority'.
I want a better communication between Julio & Nelson. I want a better
play off the wall, with a good return to the cut-off man. Simple rudiments.
AAA may be a choice and a decision. Really? How much better in minors
will it be, without the tutolidge of Gary Pettis... one of the best. Julio needs
to practice, what the Professor teaches. Borbon needs to be on the Rangers.
I don't think Wash or the Club views it any differently.

No one should be worried about Borbons D. People should be worried about that bat and if he can reach his offensive potential. Hopefully he turns into a gut who hits over .300 with 15+ HRs and 50+ steals and wont get caught 25 times. When Borbon wins a GG he will have a pass on the Eye Fan Test for the rest of his life like MY at SS.
