Forum > Thirsty Tuesday as a Promotion?

If you look at the promotional schedule for the Rangers, this year it is showing something called Thirsty Tuesday. I really don't remember seeing something like this on the previous schedules. Does anyone have any insight as to what this means? Obviously I really hope it has something to do with beer.

Well there are 13 Tuesday games and only 5 Thursday games. So if it is alcohol related, 13>5

i just meant for the roll off the tongue part of it. i didn't look at a schedule. if it's alcohol related they should call it tipsy tuesdays. they could have tipsy tuesdays and thirsty thursdays surrounding three sheets to the wind wednesdays

I will second that motion! I emailed the Rangers, but got no response. I tweeted a couple of the writers for the FWST but nothing there either.

You might consider e-mailing the Rangers' fan ambassador, Herbie Pallotta, at hpallotta@texasrangers.com. He's probably your best bet for getting quick answers on stuff like this.

Tipsy Tuesday isn't a feasible name. You don't want anything that implies customers being over-served or endorses drinking to excess. To a guy in the Rangers legal department. "Tipsy Tuesday" might as well be "Get Shithoused and Drive Down I-30 Tuesday"

Three Sheets To The Wednesdays (a lil cooler, less cumbersome version) falls into the same category...obviously.

Nothing says baseball like drinking 8 dollar beers and driving home drunk.

I was joking...obviously.

Per Herbie Pallotta, the Rangers Fan Ambassador, the Thirsty Tuesday specials will include these: 16oz Draft Beer $4 (currently $5), 24oz Soda $3 ($4), and 16.9oz Water $2 ($3). I still think I like $1 Hot Dog night better, but this is absolutely a nice perk. Thanks Rangers!

I wondered how long before we would get a Herbie sighting on BBTIA. Thanks for the info.

HOLY DWI, Batman! ... by the way, a Cab will cost about $60 @ 30 miles, for most that don't
have an extra 6-10 Grand to save ones New Life, in court & attorney expenses. The reality.
