What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
And here, we, go....
Is the guy supposed to say he doesn't want to be on an MLB roster? He's spent parts of three seasons in the bigs and parts of three seasons in AAA...he's supposed to say Frisco is his goal?
Where did you find that quote? I didn't see it in the article. This, to me, is a very reasonable, non-inflammatory statement:
"I'm fighting for a job, whether it's with this team or another organization," Davis said. "My job every day is to go out there and open a pair of eyes and make somebody say, 'Hey, maybe we could use Chris Davis on our team.' I think I've been doing a pretty good job of that lately."
"In all fairness, I've done everything the Rangers have asked me to do." except hit? i'm a chris davis fan, i've been hoping he could figure it out and be a solid if not spectacular player for the rangers, but this is ridiculous. i didn't like it when michael young threw his fit, but at least he had proven himself to be a serviceable major leaguer. when a guy who's been given several opportunities to stay in the majors and failed miserably at all of them (after his first chance) says, "When it comes down to it, the fair thing to do is to give me a shot either here or somewhere else." it makes me wonder what planet he lives on.
Did DAVIS not learn anything about the Young debacle?Kid, you DON'T go public, when you want to be traded. It makes it tough on Daniels to shop your worth. Danielsis always going to try to get 'top value' in a trade. Davis'worth had gone up in spring training. This open suggestionjust knocked him down a peg or two. Maybe at the turn Chris.
Shut your mouth and do as you're told. You still have an option left and you'll play where your sent. You have had opportunities and choked each time. Why should we believe you are a different player now?
