Calf strain...weak.

A classic "came to camp out of shape" injury from Beltre? How on earth could that possibly happen?

Guess he should have brought the bulls and not the calves. HAHAHAHA. I'll be here all night!

TRADE HIM

He's fine. This strikes me as a classic injury where he'd be out 4 days in the regular season but they shut him down for 2 weeks in Spring Training.

This is why you keep Michael, unless some team is willing to take on his entire contract or something crazy like that.

Offensively, he's the best IF backup in the whole AL.

Hopefully Beltre is okay and this is just a minor thing.

This, along with many other reasons, is why I stated four to six weeks ago that Davis makes the 25 man roster. He will have a great Spring Training to prove the point. There are two spots to settle between four players: Davis, Blanco, Treanor and Gentry. Blanco can really on cover for Andrus because Young will take the other opportunities. Treanor can't get enough chances with Torrealba and Napoli swapping time behind the plate. Gentry gives you speed but Borbon is the the man now and Murphy get all other OF rotation slots. That settles it: Blanco and Davis. Trust me, you want Davis to play defense as backup at 1B and 3B instead of Young and when Napoli plays the only seriously scary power off the pine would be CD. Vlad and Thome to swap at DH and pinch hit would have made the offense incredibly intimidating. Too bad, so sad.

Sorry, but Napoli is not going to Catch 50-60 games, and Treanor is not going to get waived. It may or may not make sense, but it isn't happening. Treanor will start 30-40 games, including Opening Day and every other CJ WIlson start.

If Napoli isn't going to start more than 75% of this season then we might as well deal him while we have him. He's not worth anything if he's just going to DH every once in a while.

He'll start every game vsLHP, a few at Catcher, a few more at DH, and a bunch at 1B. He just won't catch much, because he's bad at it.

Scoob is right...with Napoli sucking behind the dish and being in the DH slot so much, there are three catchers on this roster.

SI's Heyman says it's more like a 6 week injury. Rangers have a history (see Kinsler day-to-day last year forever) of being wrong about injury timetables. Anybody else concerned?
