I've bought my tickets already just to be safe, but I was there two years ago and had no problem getting tickets for home games, both at the gate, and scalpers, but a game at the Angels park was sold out. A lot depends on who they are playing. Angels and Dodger fans show pretty good (not sure about the D'Backs) Maybe the WS will increase the attendance some at the home park too, but in the end, it's more who they are playing and how many of their fans show.

Yeah, 2 years ago it was easy but last year we had more trouble. If your friend doesn't want to sit in the grass he should prebuy.

Thanks a lot for the responses guys. I'll pass this along to him. I have to make it to Spring Traning someday, still have never done it.

A buddy of mine is headed to Surprise beginning March 1st for a few days. He's asked me whether he should go ahead and buy tickets now or if there are plenty available when you walk up. I've never been to Spring Training so had no idea what to tell him. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
