Forum > Starting Rotation . ? . ? . ?
Glass full look at it. If the staff is:
CJ
Colby
Webb
Holland
Feliz
with Holland and Feliz breakin out like CJ and Colby and Webb givin pretty good innings is that staff good enough in the play-offs or is it still short?(and I know odds are almost zero of all that happenin but hey, It's Time! lol)

WILSON, LEWIS, HUNTER, HOLLAND and either KIRKMAN, HARRISON OR BUSH. I think both Kirkman and Harrison will make the roster either as starters or relievers. They are an integral part of the pitching staff.

My personal preference for a opening day rotation would be:
CJ
Colby
Harrison
Bush
Holland
which I supect would morph mid-August to
Colby
CJ
Holland
Hurley
Harrison (or Feldman)
I just can't think that Webb is going to give anything more than 80 innings this year (it pains me to say it), nor do I have faith in Hunter being able to put away hitters when it counts.
Overall, it may sound pessimistic, but I think the little Rangers, will be in the top half of the AL West and top third of the AL overall when it comes to overall staff results. I'm no sabermetrician, so I can't tell you how or why, just my opinion based on the often undervalued eyeball test.

Joe: "I think like everyone I am tired of high hopes Harrison."
Kinda sounds like your giving up on Harrison to me.

From the looks of things (it seems to change every day) the "Rangers
Brain Trust" is leaning towards this lineup:
1. C.J.
2. Colby
3. Hunter
4. Bush
5. Holland
Bush may not make the rotation, but right now he is a Maddux project who is pitching well, so I had to put him on the list.
My favorite list today (it changes every day, lol)
1. C.J.
2. Colby
3. Holland
4. Kirkman
5. Feliz

Martin,
I don't think anyone wants to give up on Harrison.
The message is simply this: a little less talk and a little more action please.
