Forum > Whos in RRs Startin 5?
My guess is that it opens up like this:
Webb
Kirkman
Scheppers
Beltre
Hurley

This isn't exactly related, but I think we may have an unforseen problem. RR = Round Rock. RR also is RoughRiders. I think we may need a BBTIA vote to determine which initials we use in the future. My vote would go to RRE and FRR.

Does that put Feldman and Harison in the ML bullpen?
And what about this Mason Tobin guy? is he going back or are the Rangers keeping him?
and what about the guy they got in the Rule 5 draft last year from baltimore?
When Webb moves to Arlington who takes his place? Is it Fabio Castillo or Perez or do they send a guy like Feldman or Harrison down?

for me FR for frisco and RR for round rock

Rumor is Feldman might not be quite ready to go by Opening Day. When he gets healthy, he probably slots into the RR rotation for a rehab stint. By that time, Webb is probably ready to be called up. Snyder will probably start the season at AA and move up to AAA later, I would guess. Also, Snyder spent last season starting, but his future ML role appears to be bullpen LOOGY, so at some point he might end up in the RR bullpen. I do think Harrison will make the Opening Day roster. Of the group I listed above, I think Kirkman has the best chance to make the Opening Day roster.

Scooby,
Do you think the most likely starting rote for opening day is?
CJ, Colby, Tommy, Derek, and a 5th from Feliz, Webb, and Kirkman?
Or do you think Harrison or Bush have a shot at the 5th spot? I hope not.
The most likely starting five at RR I would say is
Hurley, Beltre, Scheppers, Feldman (when he's healthy), Bush (if he doesn't sign elsewhere once he's passed over), and some combo of Kirkman, Webb, Harrison, that guy from Baltimore, and maybe Perez later in the year. I think if Kirkman shows good starting stuff in ST but doesn't make the rotation he's certainly in the RR starting five while if he shows good stuff but not starting worthy I think he could make it back to the bullpen over Harrison with Harrison starting at RR.
This sure does seem like an awesome AAA rotation. I just don't have the knowledge to say its likely the best, but I think it could form a MLB starting five on a 90 loss team with decent offense easily. That kind of depth is the envy of many mlb pitching coaches who have, perhaps, more proven talent on the MLB level.

I think the 5th spot on Opening Day comes down to Feliz, Kirkman, Harrison, Bush. Webb makes 3-5 starts at RR before coming up. My best guess right now is that Harrison makes the bullpen as long man, Feliz gets sent back to the Closer role (though I wish they would just commit to him as a starter), and Kirkman will go back to RR, with Bush getting the 5th starter spot until Webb is ready sometime around May 1.
Scooby Dude
My best guess is that Webb and maybe Feldman do all their rehab at Frisco so they can stay close and spend most of their time with the big club.

Whos starting in RR when the season starts? Would this be the best starting rotation in AAA right now? Im not talking about potential. Right now would Round Rock have the best starting 5 in AAA?
with guys who could be in AAA like Feliz Feldman and Kirkman its gota be one of the best rite?
