And now Jennifer Floyd-Engel has pointed out in her column of Saturday mornng that we all owe MY a laurel and hearty handshake for all that he's done for the club. Granted, he has done a lot in the past for the franchise and the world series campaign, etc.

She points out that he's been told to shut up, and even compared to Greg Ellis.

Best I recall, no one ever compared him to Ellis--until he acted like him.

Yep, we all owe MY a "thank you" for the past.....only time will tell how bad he's screwed up the future of this club. IF it does go in the toilet, i hope it was worth it to him.

Mikey Still Fits?

I bet I've read every post about Young multi-X's, as most in here.
Sure, we have an opinion. left or right. What still gets in my craw,
is the timing and the wording of Young's venting... openly in press.
Not much thought of friends or fans there. "Trade me". is a solid
threat, without thought of what 2010 was or where 2011 will go.
Whatever Young's cryptic reasoning was or is, it's a slap I can't take.
I liked "for the teams sake..." much better. That's what a leader does.
Defending American League Champions... does that fit in his personas?
As "The Face", you'd think it would be a personal triumph to grow on.
Personally, I am adapting more than absorbing now. Looking forward to ST.

Bored? Why would you read Jenny Engel? JFE= simple regurgataion of the same few opinions and mostly taken from other local talking heads. (Somewhere Amon Carter is chewing nails for what has happened to his paper! )

I have always appreciated MY, but at the end of the day, Mike has always taken care of Mike. For all he had done, he got a 5 year 80MM extension for all his "sacrifice", so that isn't exactly taking it on the chin, is it? Some people want Mike beatified, but when taking the total body of work, I still believe that Mike has simply taken care of Mike.

And, now, Mike is just acting an immature child. And, the more it happens, I care less and less. The Rangers are a better team with Mike not playing 3B when you can get a guy with at least average defense at 3B so long as he has decent range.
