What is your opinion of the A.J. Pierzynski signing?
MJH on accountability
per Evan Grant. More details to come.
Jon Heyman says its 2 years 24 million.
I like this. Arbitration with Josh is the last thing we need.
Sounds good to me.
Hey some good news in Rangerland!
Still don't understand how this makes sense to the Rangers. You avoid arbitration but still will likely lose him to FA. Why not a 4 or 5 year deal?
Would you rather go in asking for $100mm long term at 32y/o or 35y/o? Josh's choice.Makes since for Rangers on the safe side too. I had heard weeks ago... 3@$33mm, butsmarter heads prevailed.
@ skeletor this a great deal for the rangers it buys out what could be a huge arbitration year next year. Also if things go well this season which in my mind Josh still needs to prove that he can stay healthy for two years in row , it will allow time for them to extend him after the season this year this is a very prudent move by JD & the FO I applaud this move.
Josh is going to get his HUGE $100mm PLUS long term, if he can get through two years in health & performance. The health questions will be finally put on the shelf goinginto his new negotiations. At 32, it'll be his last contract.Smart move, by both Josh and Rangers.
