Forum > Nationals Interested In Carmona and Sizemore, Why Not The Rangers?

The Nationals are rumored to be interested in Fausto Carmona and Grady Sizemore. Would you look into this trade? Maybe send Borbon, Holland, Engel Beltre, and Chris Davis? What would your trade be?

No to trading Holland for an average at best pitcher and a CF who can't stay healthy. Yes to pursuing Sizemore as an option of some kind in CF.

Agree about not trading Holland and although when healthy Sizemore is a very good player the problem is that he is never healthy...

I love the idea of a buy low candidate in Sizemore, but it would have to be something like Murphy straight up because we don't have the at bats to give him otherwise.

Clevland will NOT trade sizemore now. they will let him gain some value first

Don't be so sure, If Sizemore has a setback in his rehab, they may go ahead and deal away with him. They of course will be looking for something in return. But they want young players, if the deal was right, they'd do it in a heartbeat. He has a 500K buyout, he wont be back, so he'll have even more value in a trade with Carmona. I like putting Murphy in that trade, I love him, but there's no room for him if they plan to use Moreland in the outfield too.

I wouldnt trade anything of value for him if he suffers a set back. he has to prove he wont be on the dl all year

Trade MY, Borbon and pay down to Hafner salary level for Hafner and Sizemore knowing that all you are gettind is two X-All Stars on DL. Include Murphy and O. Beltre for Carmona and then move him for Peavy or Santana knowing it would be lucky if they are ready by June. OR better Masterson and then sign VG- he is by far to entertaining not to pick up and in final analysis that is what it is all about
Despite all we make of it and this from some one who has deeply followed in a round about way this team since 1953 and Mickey V who passed away only a few years ago AND the signing of the Killer out of Idaho who himself is physically challenged and ALL baseballI the real heart and soul- is praying for. Does put things into perspective doesn't IT.

After all is said and done Baseball is the modern day Gladiatorial played amongst a brotherhood of players where I personally appreciate the sportsmanship of equals.
