It's basically a hypothetical situation in which Morris finishes his career as a starter in '94 then develops a knuckle ball and pitches for 15+ years as a closer with the same career stats as Mariano River. He would have had a 34 year career, and at the end of it his stats (IP, ERA, BB, K) would be remarkably similar to the career totals/rates of Bert Blyleven.
