Personally This would make me sick to see young go no matter what the player is. It is sure not Greinkle I would stay way away from that guy he is one of the most overrated pitchers in the game of baseball he had one great year & the rest have been very average.

If Young does get shipped out, who play third base? Davis? There are external options, but none are that good except for Beltre. Take a flier on Joe Crede maybe? I know he isnt as good as Young, or maybe even Davis, but he is atleast a vet.

I will very much be disappointed if Michael Young does not end his career as a Ranger.

I would give Young away if anyone would take the contract. Gladly. Greink has 3 consecutive seasons of top-10-in-the-AL WAR. His 2009 was the single best season any active SP has ever had in their career. He is only 27. He doesn't want to play in NY or Bos or Phi or LA. And he's never been on the DL, majors or minors.

It seems all rather mercenary.to dump your $16 mil/ man to go for a $20+ mil man for a very long time. If someone 'Takes' MY they will move him to 2nd B. 180 hits and 20 doubles and 20 HRs does not make one a bad person. A 100 runs to go w/100 Ks cancel each other out so he bats 6th or 7th. If a team is close, he can get them the rest of the way. You trade credibility for Raw Meat but is Raw Meat what it takes to get over the top. Roll dem Bones, Baby. I'm reading that the Rockies are interested in Young and would move him to second. What could that deal possibly look like? Would we get Helton in return to DH and back up 1B? Anyone know Helton's contract offhand?

@Drew S...Not a chance The Royals are all about youth movement now and have said they are not going to block their prospects. Even allowing for everywhere MY can play he would block Moustakas at third, Colon at short, and Giavotella at second. They ain't takin' Michael Young, not even if the Rangers pick up $32 million of the $48 million he has coming. He's an albatross.
