I don't think he did. I think JD brought us to a good position.

The more geeky you are the better liked you will be. Learn to talk down to people that aren't as geeky as you. And yeah ignore ranger100 he talks down to everyone.

To follow up on Ranger513's suggestion, here's a couple more:

- If you're not familiar with them, learn some advanced stats to make sure you understand everything. (wOBA, OPS+, WAR, UZR, BABIP, FIP to name a few). There are some explanations under the stats page at the top, or you can get an intro. on http://www.fangraphs.com . You don't have to be an expert (and certainly don't need to be able to calculate them); it just helps to know what they measure.

- Don't use pitcher wins/ERA, or RBI for arguments as to why a pitcher/hitter is better than another; you'll get ambushed.

Or, don't learn those things and just believe the conclusion that Joey makes. I could really care less about weird acronym stats. If they produce on the field, they are good. Otherwise, they suck.
