How do we not have a thread on TV shows, even though we talk about them every gamechat..... so...

Has anyone else seen the Defenders on CBS? I saw an episode tonight and thought it was pretty good. A good mix of serious and funny.

Thoughts?

It's hard for me to flip over to CBS. CSI is always the #1 show, but I don't know a single person that watches it. I always associate CBS as the network for old fogies (probably not true, just my perception).

So far this season, I've been sucked into The Event and Boardwalk Empire.

I also watched the TLC show Sister Wives (gay I know). I love the show Big Love, and I wanted to see a show about a real life family with multiple lives. I see these families every once in a while in Wal-Mart up where I'm at and I'm fascinated.

I've enjoyed Boardwalk Empire so far. Terriers is a new show on FX that's pretty good.

I watch NCIS on cbs. I find it to be one of my favorite shows. Joey told me he likes it better than Spooks, but lets keep that a secret.

Boardwalk Empire is fantastic (but then, on HBO, with that cast and creative team, how could it not be?). I tune to CBS for Survivor (never missed an episode), which is pretty good this year. My parents still watch a lot of CBS. I like the new Fox comedy Running Wilde with Will Arnett and David Cross (both from Arrested Development), and I'm hearing good things about The Increasingly Poor Decissions of Todd Margaret (premiers Friday on IFC), also starring David Cross and Will Arnett. My wife digs Hawaii Five-0, but she was addicted to that show in syndication as a kid.

In returning show news, if you've never caught Dexter (Showtime), it's the finest show on TV, and just came back for its 5th season.

In not-coming-back-til-spring news, if you get HBO, The Ricky Gervais Show is just about the funniest thing I've ever seen. I have actually wet myself a little laughing so hard.

I just started watching Dexter Season 1 on Netflix and I am hooked after the first few episodes.

My favorite shows are House, Criminal Minds, The Closer, and Two and a Half Men. I work nights so I have to DVR the few shows I really like or would probably watch some others too.

Yeah Dexter is the best show on TV for sure.

I like Dexter a lot. It's a very interesting concept, it's well shot, and when everything is clicking it's a great show. Michael C Hall's performance is quite compelling, but a lot of the supporting cast (apart from Masuka) can be pretty awful at times. If you're looking for the best show (currently running), I'd probably suggest Breaking Bad. It sports some of the best cinematography I've ever seen on the small screen, and the acting is superb all around. If Dexter's in your wheelhouse you'll enjoy it.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is the funniest show I've seen since Arrested Development. Other than that, I just play XBOX, jog with the dog and play softball. TV is mind numbing.

I typically only find enough time to watch Spooks and whatever is the flavor of the moment on USA (Criminal Intent and NCIS are the best, I think). Maybe I'll find the time to get into Dexter and The Wire and the other crap that I've missed over the years eventually.

The CSI franchise is a huge pile, in general.
