Yeah, that's ridiculous. Pitchers get hurt. A pitcher with no injuries is the exception and the Nationals were very careful with their prize asset.

I agree with what AJM had to say about this over at LSB. I don't really understand how they mishandled this? They had him watched over like a hawk since he started in the minors. Kept him in the minors as long as they possibly could on pitch counts. Then brought him up to the Majors and he never threw a 120-pitch-seven-inning game or something like that. If the medical staff cleared him to pitch and said he was good to go after his first DL-stint I can't really fault them for that. He was selling out stadiums.
