... is back in the news!

HOUSTON—A well-known Houston doctor has been charged with assault for allegedly attacking his wife.

According to court documents, Rachel Brown, wife of Dr. Michael Glyn Brown—the now-retired founder of the Brown Hand Center – told HPD her husband hurt her arm during an argument at their home on August 13.

Rachel Brown said Dr. Brown grabbed her arm and twisted it behind her, as though he intended to break it, causing her to scream in pain.

Dr. Brown was arrested Tuesday morning. He posted $40,000 bond around 1 p.m.

I'm not a judgmental person (or at least I try not to be one), but, at this point, there's a preponderance of evidence to suggest that this guy is a pretty despicable human being. And I don't think it reflects particularly well on FSNSW as a network for them to continue running Brown Hand Center ads during Rangers games.

Do you think Jay Mariotti will be available to be their lead spokesman?

Can we make a petition of some sort to try and get a better product? This year has been just terrible.

Has anyone made Chuck Greenberg aware of this crap? I would think he and Nolan would have a problem with Brown's commercials airing during their games.

Every time I hear his daughter (or paid child actress) say "daddy's baby girl," I consider vomiting. Now I actually might.

Also, his wife in that commercial looks like she's about 27.

So can we drop the "Great hands of the game" title?

Even if they can't drop the sponsor altogether, you'd think they'd at least have the leverage to get them to drop that specific commercial for a spot that doesn't give the guy any facetime.

Jobert nailed it. It's a little strange that an organization that has long marketed itself as family-oriented would permit something like this to continue being aired during its telecasts. No, it's not graphic or lewd or anything on the surface, but there are a growing number of people who have a big problem with seeing him pop up on the television with his dysfunctional kids and his wife that he beats.

When the Ticket talked about this a few weeks ago they were saying those aren't all his kids and that's definitely not his wife in the commercial.

All indications are that they were wrong about that Drew.
