Forum > I could 5/24 players that actually look like they give a damn

CJ, Moreland, Murphy, Hamilton, Lewis.(Kirkman gets a pass but he looked sick today. That slider is badass.) Someone needs to wake Vlad, Lee, MY, Elvis, and the rest of this team the hell up. Over the past 2-3 weeks everyone besides the five I mentioned have complete sucked at some point and look like they care less. What a bunch of uninspired losers.

I mean COUNT. So pissed I can't even type.

Well as much as I agree that this team needs to kick it in gear and get the division lead back up to 8 or 9, MY and Vladdy look like they have hit rock bottom and are on their way back up, plus Nellie and Kins will be back in a few weeks at the worst, and even Cliff Lee is allowed to have a bad start every once in a while.
Basically I still don't think this little rut is anything to worry too much about for the time being, but it sucks to have guys looking so pathetic at the plate and on the bases and etc.
One more thing... is this the Bengie that the Giants fans were talking about, because he sucks right now. I never thought I'd be saying this but I kinda want Teagarden in the lineup right now the way he's swinging the bat

Right Ryan? I can't stand Teabag but I too find myself wanting him over Bengie. How bad is it that I actually miss Matt Treanor quite a bit. Our catchers SUCK.

I can't tell if Cliff doesn't care or that's just his demeanor. Actually I don't care if he doesn't care as long as he pitches the way he can (give him a break on today). I would much rather this be happening now (every team goes through something like this) than end of September and October.

Players slump. It happens. And when they do, and they're not performing, it's easy to perceive that as the player not caring. Again, another area where the eye test has a strong tendency to fail. Manny hardly ever looks like he "gives a damn" and is still one of the best hitters of our generation.
